Science Olympiad Try-out Information Page

If you excel in science and like competition, Science Olympiad is the place for you. Science Olympiad is a National science team competition, with events like Meteorology, Fossils, Bottle Rocket and Bridge Building. The Middle School team is limited to only 15 students from grades 6-9, so students must compete and try-out for this team.

If you are interested in trying-out for the science Olympiad team, then you must do the following:

STEP ONE: Watch the following videos to learn more about Science Olympiad

STEP TWO: CLICK HERE to go to the 2018-2019 Student Information Form and complete it before the date of the try-outs. You MUST have this completed in order to try out.

STEP THREE: Once you submit the Information Form, an email will be sent to the address you provided. The email will contain a link to the 2018-2019 Try-out test resource page. Use and study the resources listed on that page to help you prepare for Part 1 of the try-out test.  Along with studying, you are required to bring some self prepared resource pages to the try-out test. (More information will be given in the email) 

STEP FOUR: Come to the Middle School LGI at 3:00 on Tuesday,  October 30, 2018 and give it your best for a chance to make the team this year.*** We anticipate an end time around 5:00 pm, however, the time might have to be adjusted based on the number of students that are trying out. PLEASE NOTE: No one will be permitted to try-out after the date listed. If you can not make the Try-out date, then you must make arrangements to be tested BEFORE the date listed that is convenient for both you and the coach.
